The long, lazy days of summer are over. A new school year has begun, and it’s time to get back to our daily routine: getting up early, washing our faces, brushing our teeth—and cleaning our ears so we don’t miss a thing at school!
Children’s ears are fragile and need special care. Remember this basic rule, and you can’t go wrong: clean gently and not too deep!
- – Gently clean the outer ear and the outer ear canal.
- – Only clean the part of the outer ear canal you can see, and never insert anything deeper than 1 centimeter inside the ear—that’s where the earwax and other debris are found.
Avoid regular cotton swabs, which can irritate the ear’s sensitive skin. Opt for swabs designed specifically for ear cleaning.
