All-in-one solution for soft contact lenses


Quies Optik is an all-in-one solution for soft contact lenses. Suitable for daily soft contact lens care (including for silicone hydrogel lenses), Quies Optik contains four active ingredients:

  • Polyhexanide: a powerful, effective biocidal disinfectant and preservative that prevents contamination of lenses by bacteria and other germs.
  • Poloxamer: a surface cleaning agent that eliminates protein deposits, dust, and other debris.
  • Hypromellose: a lubricant that forms a protective film on the lens surface, retains moisture, and keeps lenses from drying out for optimal comfort.
  • Sodium phosphate buffer: ensures that the solution is pH-balanced and improves electrolyte (potassium chloride and sodium chloride) performance for more natural-feeling lenses.

The hypromellose used in the Quies Optik solution is known for its effectiveness at keeping eyes from drying out; its hydrating action keeps the cornea moist for optimal lens comfort all day long.

A sterile, aqueous, isotonic solution containing potassium chloride, sodium chloride, disodium edetate, and a compound containing polyhexanide, poloxamer, hypromellose, and a sodium phosphate buffer.
Quies Optik is an all-in-one soft contact lens solution. It is suitable for cleaning, rinsing, disinfecting, eliminating protein deposits, moistening, lubricating, and keeping lenses soft. It can be used on silicone hydrogel lenses.
Quies Optic is designed to eliminate protein deposits; additional protein removal treatments are not necessary, unless recommended by your eye care specialist.
Quies Optik is isotonic and pH balanced to mimic natural tears.
Lenses can be stored in Quies Optic in a closed lens case for up to 30 days.

Always wash your hands and dry them on a clean towel before handling your contact lenses. Always start with the same eye to avoid mixing up your lenses. Rinse one lens first, and then the other.

Open your lens case.
  1. Open your lens case.
  2. Remove the first lens from your eye and place it in the palm of your hand. Squeeze at least three drops of Quies Optik solution onto the lens.Remove the first lens from your eye and place it in the palm of your hand.
  3. Rub the lens gently back and forth for ten seconds. Rub the lens
  4. Rinse both sides of the lens generously with Quies Optik solution while rubbing the lens gently between your thumb and index finger.

  6. Close the case and screw the cover on tightly.
    Repeat for the other lens.
  7. Let your lenses soak for at least four hours.
  8. Your clean, disinfected lenses can now be worn again; you can put them in directly after taking them out of the solution.

Quies Optik can also be used to clean your lenses without rubbing them. If you prefer not to rub your lenses, remember to rinse your lenses generously and let them soak for at least six hours instead of four. This option is recommended only if you replace your lenses frequently (at least monthly). However rubbing is recommended for conventional soft contact lenses.

Always use fresh Quies Optik solution directly from the bottle.
Never reuse the solution once you have soaked your lenses.
Close the bottle tightly after each use.
Discard solution that has been open for more than three months.
Not suitable for heat disinfection.
Store at room temperature.

There are no particular contraindications for the Quies Optik solution. However do not use it if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in the solution.
