How earPlanes® work Quies earPlanes® are made from soft, flexible silicone.
The hollow, cylindrical design hides a porous ceramic filter that gradually filters the air flow resulting from changes in air pressure. This gives your eardrums time to adapt to the new pressure slowly—rather than suddenly and painfully. This patented innovation was developed in association with US Navy pilots.

  • Without forcing, introduce the ribbed end of the earplug into the ear before you expect to experience a change in air pressure, such as before aircraft takeoff and final descent.
  • Remove the earplugs five minutes after the air returns to normal pressure.

For air travel:

  • On short flights, the earplugs may be worn until landing.
  • On longer flights, we recommend removing the earplugs once the aircraft reaches cruising altitude and putting them in again before the final descent.
  • Avoid manipulating the earplugs once they have been inserted.
  • Use only if your ears are clean and healthy.
  • Replace after two to three uses.
  • Do not use on children under the age of 30 months.
  • If you are unsure whether this product is right for you, ask your doctor.

Storage : Keep your earplugs in their case and store in a cool, dry place.
