Snoring in figures
Why do we snore?
When we sleep, the muscles in our mouth (particularly the tongue) and pharynx relax and fall back, shrinking our respiratory tract.
As our bodies try to overcome this natural obstacle and obtain enough oxygen, these muscles—especially those in the soft palate—begin to vibrate. These vibrations and the forcing of air through our respiratory tract result in snoring.
Snoring can be aggravated by factors such as age, alcohol, excess weight, fatigue, and certain sleeping positions.
Quies has developed two products that act directly on the main cause of snoring, so that you can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. These products lubricate the soft tissue in the back of the throat to facilitate the passage of air and prevent muscle vibration, the main culprit behind snoring.
