Quies teams up with French free daily 20 Minutes

On 12 May 2011, Quies will be giving away free foam earplugs in the French daily newspaper 20 Minutes. This promotion will take place across all major French cities, and is designed to build awareness about the importance of protecting one of our most valuable assets—hearing.

Cities are noisy places, but they are also where most of us live. Because there is not much we can do about the endless traffic jams, construction work, revved-up motorcycle engines, and airplanes flying by, we must opt for the next-best solution to protect our hearing: earplugs.

We all know that long-term exposure to load noises can cause permanent damage to our hearing. While it’s hard to resist an evening out in a trendy nightclub, bear in mind that the legal limit for noise in a disco is 105 dB—a level that puts your ears at risk after just 45 minutes of exposure.
